What Are Custom Values? Custom values are placeholders for business information (e.g., business name, email, logo, etc.). These values automatically populate across emails, templates, websites, and other CRM areas, saving time and ensuring consistency. Updating a custom value once will reflect everywhere it’s used in the system.
Setting Up Custom Values: Navigate to Settings > Custom Values. Pre-populated important fields are marked with five stars. Update essential values first: Admin Alert Email: Email for backend notifications. Business Logo: Upload it to Media Storage, copy the link, and paste it in the custom value field. Business Name: This appears in emails, templates, and webpages. Email Sending Name & Email Address: Used for email communications. Once updated, remove "edit" from field names and delete stars to mark completion.
Using Custom Values: in Emails & Templates Custom values are frequently used in: Email templates (e.g., adding sender names, business details). Websites and landing pages. Privacy policies, footers, and legal disclaimers. To insert a custom value: Open an email template or website editor. Select the custom values from the "Must Edit" folder. Place it in the appropriate field (e.g., business name, email, logo). Save the changes.
Testing Custom Values: Before finalizing, send a test email to preview how the values appear. Some values (like business name) may not be visible in the editor but will appear when tested.
Benefits of Custom Values: Saves time by eliminating repetitive updates. Ensures brand consistency across all CRM areas. Easy updates—change the value in one place, and it updates everywhere (e.g., rebranding logos).
