CRM Domain Connection Video This video provides a step-by-step guide on connecting a custom domain to your CRM, ensuring a professional and seamless web presence.
Key Setup Steps:
1. Understanding Domain Basics A domain (URL) (e.g., yourdomain.com) is separate from the website content and hosting. Hosting is needed to make a website live: WordPress requires external hosting. Platforms like Wix, Weebly, and CRM systems include hosting. Domains are purchased from domain registrars (e.g., Cloudflare, GoDaddy).
2. Recommended Domain Setup Cloudflare is recommended for its affordability and tech-friendly DNS management. If your DNS records are managed elsewhere, consider transferring them to Cloudflare for better control.
3. Connecting Your Domain to CRM Navigate to Settings > Domains and click Add. Enter your domain name and ensure the "WWW Redirect" option is enabled. The non-WWW version is the preferred default. The WWW version redirects automatically to prevent errors. Verify DNS record changes by either: Automatic login to your domain registrar. Manual entry of DNS records (A records, CNAME records). Once records are updated, click Verify Records.
4. Assigning the Domain to a Website or Funnel Once connected, click Edit to link the domain to a website, funnel, or specific page. Create custom 404 error pages for better branding and user retention.
5. Choosing Between Websites & Funnels Use the Website Builder only if you need an e-commerce store (hundreds of products). For most users, the Funnel Builder is recommended for ease of use and customization.
